FAQs

What is a drum circle?

A drum circle is a celebration of life, community, and music-making in the moment.  Participants sit in a circle while playing drums and hand percussion, and join in creating a group rhythm. The circle is “moderated” by a facilitator who guides the group in rhythms and rhythm-based activities.

What is a drum circle facilitator?

A drum circle facilitator (DCF) serves the group by making it easy for participants to engage in the music-making, find their individual and group rhythm, connect to themselves and each other, and achieve their highest musical and group potential.

Do I have to have experience with drumming?

Nope! No drumming or musical experience is needed to enjoy a Soulshine Rhythm Experience.  We’ll show you everything you need to know to participate with joyful freedom to express yourself rhythmically!
